Afghanistan: Second Education Quality Improvement Project (EQUIP II)

IDA Grant: USD$ 30 million

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The program will build on the Bank’s current engagement in the education sector and the wider reconstruction needs of Afghanistan. The proposed EQUIP II aims to increase equitable access to quality basic education especially for girls through school grants, teacher training and strengthened institutional capacity with support from communities and private providers.
