Afghanistan: National Emergency Rural Access Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project aims to reconstruct and rehabilitate some 2000 km of secondary and tertiary roads, which will reduce travel time to rural schools, health care facilities, and administrative services. It will also launch a pilot rural road maintenance program which will be implemented through the Community Development Councils.
