This study identified and evaluated viable investment options for the rehabilitation and development of oil and gas infrastructure in Afghanistan. The study components were:

Gustavson report (pdf)

This activity was undertaken under the World Bank-funded Emergency Infrastructure Reconstruction project and administered by the Ministry of Mines. It assessed petroleum reserve estimates using Western standards, estimated realistic production rates, conducted a market analysis, examined the investment climate, and trained Afghan staff in the petroleum sector.
